Having A Date by New Year’s Eve
by Andrea McGinty
Well, we all know about the 12 days of Christmas---but maybe you didn’t know this? The 12 days start on Christmas Day---ending the day before the Epiphany (January 5). Except, this won’t work for singles jumping back into dating during the busiest time of the year!
We all put time into being successful in our career, our friendships, our families---put the same effort into your love life. Start today and give yourself a gift.
What? You’re going to start thinking about your love life on January 5?
Well, you are late to the game and you have blown a great opportunity when the largest number of singles this year will be online. Now, TODAY, is the day to get organized to ensure your love life is looking up in January and you even have a New Year’s Eve date!
Yes, it’s true. If you are looking for that New Year’s Eve date---or even to be dating the first two weeks of January, the time is now. We are at ground zero.
Here’s an easy guide for the next 12 days as a gift from me to you---a dating coach doing this for over 25 years and recognized as an expert by Oprah, Today Show and the New York Times. This won’t interrupt your holiday shopping, putting up the tree or festive holiday drinks with friends.
December 13: Off to a party. Tell your friends you need some new photos of you alone. Have them snap away.
December 14: Call BFF #1 and ask him/her to text you 5 words that describe your personality.
December 15: Volunteering at a charity event? Have a friend snap a few photos of you in a Santa hat.
December 16: Baking cooking and making fudge with your nieces and nephews? Snap a few more photos.
December 17: Your married friends who met through a dating site/app. (Since 1 of 3 marriages in the last year happened thanks to online dating). Ask them which apps they used. Don’t ask your single friends---we only have 12 days and no time for horror stories.
December 18: Research dating coaches. Look at their websites and packages. Call and chat with them---they will give you bits of advice and hire the one you had chemistry with. They can expediate the entire dating experience ---both make you accountable and encourage you. (They will also help you pick the right dating site for your geo area and demographics). Schedule a Zoom call with her for December 23.
December 19: A work holiday party. This time have a colleague snap a few pictures of you alone plus photos of you with others. Hey, you don’t want to look friendless on a dating app.
December 20: Hey, we all know we are not really working this week. Make a list of values that are non-negotiable for you. Make a list of your top 5 interests and top 5 things you’d love to try. Email them to your new dating coach.
December 21: Make a list of attributes you’d like in another person. Call BFF #2 and ask for 5 words describing you.
December 22: Go through photos on your phone from the past year and neatly put in a phone photo album titled “Dating 2022” with the other above photos.
December 23: One hour Zoom call with your dating coach. (Yes, you have the time, you won’t be shopping, drinking eggnog and eating Christmas cookies all day). Send your dating coach all your photos from the neatly organized album, your lists of attributes and interests.
December 24: You dating coach sends back your Dating Profile, Photo Selection and recommendations for a dating site. You send back comments/edits that she will get back to you the same day.
December 25: Enjoy friends, families, children and all the holiday festivities.
December 26: You go live online! I’d recommend you start with 2 dating sites/apps.
Please trust me---you will be so ahead of the dating game with a beautiful profile written by a professional dating coach, many photos of different sides of you and an interesting dating profile as much forethought went into this----in just 12 days.
Today is the day. Why wait? It’s time to date! Call me at 702-494-7344 to get started today.
Happy New Year and to here’s to meeting the love of your life.
Love,
Andrea
