Time to Just Get Out There

Over the years, I’ve met with tens of thousands of active daters and heard the inside scoop on just about every dating scenario one could possibly imagine. And, yes I do enjoy this tremendously!!

All of this has provided us at 33 Thousand Dates (33000Dates.com) with the most up-to-date, insightful information on successful approaches to online dating – but the truth is that all the knowledge in the world won’t make the slightest difference in your life, unless you physically get out there and date! And yes, of course, follow our recommendations on dating safely and in accordance with the CDC.

Time to get off the couch, turn off the latest binge-watching episode of The Bachelor and get out there and star in your own reality show.

Consider these points:

Dating is a numbers game

And the biggest numbers are in the online dating sites and apps and dating platforms. The more potential mates you meet, the more likely it is that you will find “the one”. If you’re hoping fate will drop him at your door, think again. Unless, UPS drivers are your thing.

[As an aside, The ONLY time in 20+ years of dating coaching where I’ve heard success at home was when a female client had a fire while her condo burned, she met and dated a fireman.]

Asking for help is not a sign of weakness

Signing up for a dating site or using 33000dates’ services is not an act of desperation. It’s the smartest way to meet the type of people you’re interested in. It means you are taking charge of your dating life, not a bystander leaving things up to chance.

You can get over your ex

Let’s face it. If you’re still thinking about your ex, stalking your ex on Instagram and Facebook, asking your friends about him, then your heart is not going to be open to meeting someone new. You’ll get there eventually, just give it time. In the meantime, enjoy being single. Yes, I’m serious – just enjoy being single! I’ve had a few clients that I turned away as I knew they weren’t ready, and, thus, it would be unsuccessful for them. Most, though, came back to me within 6-12 months with a whole new attitude.

It's not time-consuming

Online dating does not have to take a great deal of time. If you’re proactive online, you’ll reap the benefits. And you had to have brunch or lunch anyway – why not enjoy the company of someone new?

Okay, no more excuses. You can sit back and wait forever or get out there and have some fun!
