In Honor of America's 250th Birthday
One of the biggest myths in modern dating is that there are only a handful of places to meet quality people.
Not true.
Over 30 years—and more than 33,000 first dates—I've watched relationships begin in grocery stores, airports, hospitals, networking events, dog parks, charity galas, hotel lobbies, and yes...occasionally even at the DMV.
In honor of America's 250th birthday, I challenged myself to list 250 places where people have actually met someone.
Read it for the laughs.
Read it for the ideas.
But mostly read it as proof that opportunity is far bigger than your dating app.
Because after 250 years, apparently humans will flirt anywhere.

Closing Thought
America is turning 250.
Which means for 250 years people have been finding love, friendship, connection, second chances, and occasionally terrible first dates in every imaginable place.
The real question isn't where you'll meet someone.
It's whether you'll be paying attention when you do.
P.S. After arranging 33,000 first dates, I can confirm one thing: the odds of meeting someone are dramatically higher when you're wearing pants and leave the house. 😏
