Engagements & Presidents' Dating Apps

Before we jump into our President’s love lives and dating apps, a few congratulations are in order for two (not one!) engagements of my clients this past weekend! Nothing makes me happier.

Friday night Jack C.* (of Palm Beach, Fl and NYC) a 59-year-old widow proposed to Anna, a lovely woman he met on Match.com almost 10 months ago. Jack was a blast to work with and even after 14 Match dates, stayed upbeat! He even fixed one of his dates up with his business partner. They plan a May wedding!

Fiona R*, a divorced 53-year-old entrepreneur from Dallas, TX called me very late Saturday night---with Michael, 47, also on the phone, very excited and laughing. As she said, she had bumbled her way through Bumble and Michael was her 7th date. Fiona was initially very nervous both about using me as her dating coach and just dating again, in general. She thanked me for helping her “craft” her messages to men and choosing the photos she posted. Michael said what got him was her photo holding a beautiful turkey dinner with a turkey hat on! June wedding.

With Presidents’ Day Weekend upon us, I thought it would be interesting to imagine what Dating Apps some of our Presidents would have used if they had the right dating counselor and right dating coach….

As one President said about his love life “Every accomplishment starts with the decision to try” and you bet this President had a great dating strategy. Yes, he’s one of the 6 below; can you guess?

Lincoln: Match would have been a great choice for Abe---all those great photos of his hat collection and beard length wouldn’t be wasted with Match.com high quantity photo policy. His profile quote? “Folks are usually about as happy as they make up their minds to be”.

Biden: As our country’s oldest President ever……. Silver Singles!

JFK: As a graduate of Harvard, JFK would clearly have chosen The League….until he figured out no Ivy Grads are actually on that App anymore…..then he might have jumped on…oops, I just can’t say this one!

George HW Bush and Jimmy Carter: Bumble….where the women are in charge!

Clinton: Obviously, Bill would have been on Tinder…..no explanation needed here!

Washington: George as the first President of the US would have needed a special First Lady; so, he probably headed to Raya, the celebrity app though after using the app he commented “It is better to be alone than in bad company”.

So, how’s your Dating Strategy going? Are you still on for finding someone to enjoy the Spring/Summer with and more? Maybe read this: What's your dating plan? (33000dates.com)

I’m looking forward to working with you----and Congratulations to Jack and Fiona---I must admit I’m going to miss our weekly coaching calls, but I am in the business of losing clients---for a good reason! Look forward to hearing from you; yes, I answer my own phone: 702-494-7344 and I'm on Eastern Time Zone.

*Names have been changed

Love & Laughter,
