Smart Dating: Enhance Your Dating Game

The first quarter of 2025 is behind us—how are your New Year’s dating resolutions holding up?

  • Are you making strides toward your goals?

  • Do you check in on your progress regularly?

  • Or do those resolutions now serve as a reminder of what’s yet to be accomplished?

  • Are you using the tracking sheets I gave you?

Dating Resolutions vs. Dating Reality

At the start of the year, many of my clients leap into the dating world with zeal, setting ambitious goals and feeling optimistic about love. They vow to date more, improve their mindset, and be intentional about finding the right partner.

But as the days slip by, the grind of daily life takes over. Work deadlines loom, family obligations pile up, and suddenly, dating feels like something that can be pushed to the backburner. Yet, to succeed in the dating marathon, you have to stay in the race.

We All Struggle

Let’s be honest: On January 1st, we all start with a burst of energy, ready to tackle the year’s resolutions. But by February (or March), life happens—and let’s face it, we get distracted.

Speaking of distractions, I’ve been following a fascinating University of Michigan study. Want to know the secret to a long, happy life? It’s not the Mediterranean Diet. And it’s definitely not hitting 10K steps every day.

It’s love—having a romantic partner and a supportive community around you. Sure, healthy eating and exercise are important, but love is the true game changer.

So, What Does This Have to Do with Dating?

Change is tough. Staying consistent is tougher.

So maybe it’s time for a recommitment—time to hop back on that dating treadmill, but this time with renewed energy and a positive outlook!

This morning, I appeared on a national morning show to discuss five key aspects of love and romance:

  1. Embrace the nerves—It’s perfectly fine to feel a little anxious about dating again, as long as there’s a sprinkle of excitement mixed in.

  2. Refresh your look—A little retail therapy can go a long way. Gentlemen, time to retire the "dad on a date" look. Ladies, how about a new hairstyle or a quick stop at the Chanel counter for a makeover? (And yes, it’s free!)

  3. Go on four "practice" dates—The more you practice, the better you get! (I’ll share the morning show link tomorrow for more tips.)

  4. Reframe your baggage—We all have it, but let's call it “life experience” instead. It only makes you wiser and more prepared for a healthy relationship!

  5. Attitude is everything—I’ve helped over 65% of my clients enter long-term relationships. Stay away from negative married or single friends. They won’t help you grow.

Here’s How to Get Back on Track:

Set up a 15-minute call with me. Let’s see if we’re a good fit, and if not, I’ll point you in the right direction!

Happy dating—don’t let anything stand in your way! I’ve been helping people find love since I was 22, with over 30 years of experience. You’re in good hands.

Love,
